About Us
Diamond State Counseling (DSC) was founded in 2015 by Lyz Bowman, LPCMH, with a simple but powerful vision — to create a welcoming space where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.
What began as a small private practice has grown into a trusted name in mental health care, now serving the community through two locations across Delaware. Our team includes 15 therapists, both licensed and under supervision, who bring diverse experience in areas such as trauma, grief, domestic violence, postpartum and infant loss, and child therapy.
Led by Lyz Bowman and Chief Operating Officer, Jen Liberi, DSC also has a dedicated administrative team of eight who ensure every client receives the care and attention they deserve.
In addition to counseling, DSC is proud to offer psychiatry and medication management through a psychiatric team of three providers based at our second location. This allows us to provide truly comprehensive, coordinated mental health care for our clients.
