Luis Ricardo Guzman, MS.
Luis Ricardo graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. His experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults and focusing on the Latino and Hispanic communities as a bilingual(Spanish-English) therapist. He believes that therapy is a collaborative process in which the clients are the experts of their own lives and experiences.
Luis Ricardo’s goal in therapy is to empower individuals to live their most authentic and successful lives by providing a safe and comfortable environment to explore each individual’s needs. He uses a strength-based approach while implementing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, psychoeducation, and behavior modification. He is passionate about working with clients from different cultural backgrounds and assists them in recognizing personal challenges, hardships, and life stressors by helping them identify achievable goals and appropriate coping skills. In addition, he works closely with clients that identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community by promoting authenticity and self-acceptance regarding sexual orientation through affirmative psychotherapy.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching documentaries, traveling, and spending time with his family.
