Kelly O'Connor, LPCMH

Biography

Kelly earned her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Wilmington University and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). In 2006, she was honored as National Case Manager of the Year by the National Association of Case Management (NACM).
 

With a strong background in case management, recovery management, intensive outpatient group counseling, and individual and family therapy, Kelly has extensive experience conducting diagnostic and chemical dependency evaluations, assessments, and crisis counseling. She specializes in anxiety, depression, substance use, and grief, providing compassionate support to individuals navigating these challenges.
 

Kelly’s therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. Each modality works together to help clients understand how their thoughts impact their moods and behaviors. She focuses on skill-building, fostering trust and rapport, and guiding clients through deeper self-exploration.

Kelly believes in a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy, empowering clients with the tools and strategies needed to build long-term success and well-being.
