Kelly received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Wilmington University and is a National Certified Counselor. She received the award of National Case Manager of the Year through NACM in 2006. Kelly has a background in case management, recovery management, intensive outpatient group counseling, individual and family therapy. She has conducted diagnostic and chemical dependency evaluations, assessments, and crisis counseling.

 

Kelly’s therapeutic approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and person-centered therapies. Each modality works together to assist clients’ understanding of how their thoughts can impact their moods and behaviors. Kelly focuses on skill-building to increase comfort, trust, and rapport, while processing deeper concepts of thought patterns. Kelly believes it is necessary to work collaboratively and holistically to build long-term skills and increase success.
