Julia Hopkins, MSW
Julia is a master’s level therapist, providing individual therapy that starts with a holistic approach to wellness. She is experienced in Substance Use/Addiction, Depression, and Anxiety, and has worked with individuals experiencing Domestic Violence. Her holistic approach recognizes the various strengths, resources, and obstacles that individuals encounter throughout their lifetime. She believes that, while we are faced with obstacles – whether they are grief/loss, trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, oppression, life transitions, etc. – we are inherently resilient, adaptable, and predisposed toward healing and personal growth.
In therapy, Julia utilizes several therapeutic approaches and techniques, including but not limited to: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, and Motivational Interviewing. Ultimately, she focuses on creating a safe space where the client feels seen and heard, and their values are honored.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys the company of her loved ones (including her family, friends, and two cats), painting, and traveling.
