Jade Thornton, MSW, CAADC
Jade Thornton received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Delaware State University. She has clinical experience working in a vast array of different environments ranging from the department of corrections, residential, schools as well as working directly in the community. She earned her advanced drug and alcohol certification in 2020 and is currently working towards her LCSW. She utilizes a variety of different therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s individual needs. Some of her most commonly used therapies include cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, and person centered.
As a therapist, Jade makes it a priority to work with her clients to uncover his/her strengths and find their voice. She often uses the metaphor that each client is the author of his/her own story; it is unique, filled with twists and turns but ultimately they decide what the reader remembers most. Jade commits herself to helping her clients develop the skills they need to see the true beauty they hold within themselves.
